With over 35 years of combined bar experience, we wanted to open an establishment in the French Quarter neighborhood where we live and work. Our building on the corner of Saint Peter and Burgundy streets is a neighborhood establishment in the heart of the historic French Quarter, and for over 90 years it has been a welcoming entertainment venue for neighbors and visitors alike.
 

The Schooner Saloon pays homage to the history of the sailing ships that have been a fixture throughout the history of New Orleans.  From the founding and development of the Crescent City, to it’s sanctuary for Pirates in the 18th Century, through the victory by U.S. Navy Schooners over the British during the Battle of New Orleans, to the exploration worldwide from her harbors, Schooners have always played a vital role in our City’s story.
 

The Schooner Saloon’s décor, name & logo, cocktail & rum lists, and our food menu all reflect the desire to honor that long tradition in a welcoming and enjoyable environment. 
In 2024, we were named in the top three "Best New Bars in New Orleans" by Gambit
Magazine.  And then in 2025, we were named the "Best Sports Bar in the French Quarter" by Where Y'At Magazine.

Please visit us daily from 11am to 2am to enjoy our homemade food, Local & Caribbean Beer & Rum selections, live entertainment, and all of the daily live sporting events broadcast on the biggest TV’s in the French Quarter.
