HISTORY

The Schooner Saloon pays homage to the long history of sailing ships that were vital throughout the history of New Orleans. From the founding and development of the Crescent City, to it’s sanctuary for Pirates in the 18th Century, through the victory by U.S. Navy Schooners over the British during the Battle of New Orleans, to the exploration worldwide from her harbors, Schooners have always played a vital role in our City’s story.
